It's Time for a Tea Party Again
One Battle Line on America's Second Revolution—A Tax Revolution
“Perhaps We Need A Tea Party Again,”
and the tea party song says it all! Jeff Parnell is from for Missouri's 4th District
and he is committed to work for a total overhaul of the tax system and implementation of the FAIR Tax.
Missouri's 4th District incumbent, Ike Skelton, has a "Leans Against" Fair Tax rating at the time of this posting. See Representatives Skelton's Scorecard Record for his current position.
To sing along, look for the lyrics below.

We Have a Song--What's next?
Over two-hundred years ago, the founding fathers of this country kept petitioning the King of England with redress of grievances brought upon this nation by the Crown. King George stopped listening, and even went so far as to enact a tax on tea.
Then in 1773, colonists snuck aboard three British ships in the Boston Harbor and dumped several hundred chests of tea into the water as an act of grievance against unfair taxation of the colonies by Britain. The Boston Tea Party became a symbol of American Revolution and the determination of the American people.
Today, Fair Tax supporters across the nation are sending tea bags to their Senators and Representatives as a symbol of opposition to modern day oppressive taxation administered by the IRS. To abolish the Income, Payroll, Gift, and Death Taxes, we need a reform movement of revolutionary proportions.
Write your congressmen and woman and let them know you're a Tea Party Buccaneer and demand the Fair, Simple, and Transparent Tax Replacement proposed by the Fair Tax Act of 2005 (H.R.25 and S.25).
Regardless of your letters subject, drop a tea bag in the envelope. Although a typical letter, tea bag and envelop weighs about half an ounce and is less then 1/4 inch think, you may wish to consider a padded envelop to protect the tea bag while it travels through the postal system. Some supporters suggest sending a whole box of tea bags to Washington and District Offices just to get the point across.
We need to cover the paper tag with a "No Income Tax"/"No IRS" tag. I've uploaded labels to many of the Yahoo groups that includes your state Fair Tax web site address. Or, download a label with H.R.25/S25 and FairTax.org here.
A physical tea bag will make the biggest impact, but there is another option if you don't have time to write a letter every week--Tea Bag Postcards! Look in your Yahoo Group File section or download a "FairTaxScorecard.com" here. For just a 24 cent stamp, send it to congress; send it to your state legislators. Post it at the grocery store-just spread the word.
It's time to throw another Tea Party! Let's send a signal to Washington that has its roots in the origin of our country, one that cannot be misunderstood. In 1773, the Boston Harbor Tea Party galvanized the nation and got the King's attention. Today, Tea Parties across America can galvanize our efforts in this second revolution and get attention of the current House of Lords in Washington.
Remember, write your Senators and Representatives a letter, with details of where you take issue with their actions. Send a physical letter, not an email. Tuck a tea bag into the letters and send copies to the Washington DC and District Offices. Mark the envelop with "Hand Cancel" to help route the envelop around the high speed sorting machines.
"Perhaps We Need a Tea Party Again"
Lyrics and music by: Jeff Parnell
One night in Boston Harbor, the tea flew overboard.
They said, "We don't owe King George a thing, we answer to our Lord."
They built this land of freedom, but things have changed since then.
Perhaps we need a tea party again.
They passed the 16th amendment, and the income tax was law.
But it punishes achievement, and that's just one of many flaws.
Then along came withholding, we don't know what we pay in.
Perhaps we need a tea party again.
There's a better way to pay the bills, and the Fair Tax is its name.
We can fully fund this government, and end these silly games.
We can save Social Security, and Medicare it's true.
And the Congress needs to hear all this from You.
Career politicians love the power of tax and spend.
And it's time that all of us take a stand and reign them in.
This country is worth saving, and I'm telling you my friends,
"Perhaps we need a tea party again."
There's a better way to pay the bills, and the Fair Tax is its name.
We can fully fund this government, and end these silly games.
We can save Social Security, and Medicare it's true.
But the Congress needs to hear all this from You.
One night in Boston Harbor, the tea flew overboard.
They said, "We don't owe King George a thing, we answer to our Lord."
We built this land of freedom, but much has changed since then.
Perhaps we need a tea party again.
