Why Set up a User Profile?
Setting up a user profile is easy and with the files and templates provided below, it is even easier.
Q?: Why do we need a personal user profile?
A: A profile provides a forum to talk about the Fair Tax and place for links to our favorite Fair Tax web sites.
Q?: Isn't the team profile good enough?
A: No! The Team profile gives the team a voice, but it does not give you a voice. Congress needs to see your activity at this "Online Rally" and hear your opinions. To do that, you need a user profile. Don't forget to upload one of the images as your online protest sign to wave at Congress.
Q?: How can I be nominated "User of the Day"?
A: First, you need a profile. Then, your team members need to nominate you by clicking on the "I like this profile" link on the bottom of the profile page. Then stay active and it's all luck after that.
Setting up a User Profile?
The logo is your "Rally Sign." Pick one of the images below or use your own 100 x 100 pixels jpg image.
   
Just right click on the image and save it to your computer, remember where you save it because you'll need to upload the file later.
Creating a Personal Profile
1.Log into your BOINC user page on the web via one of the following methods:
1.a. Open the BOINC Manager on your computer. Click on the "Projects" tab and select the Project name from the list. Then click on the "Your preferences" button.
2. Look for the "Community" section and "Profile" line. Then click the "Create" or "View or edit profile" link. If editing your profile, you will also need to click on the "Edit your profile" link on the next page.
3. On the "Edit your profile" page, look for the box entitled "Your personal background" and copy/paste the contents of the
Your Personal Background file. Make changes as you desire.
4. Next, look for the box entitled "Your opinions about ..." and copy/paste the contents of the Your Opinions file. Add or change links to your favorite Fair Tax sites.
5. Then verify the proper language of your profile page.
6. In the "Picture" section, click the "Browse..." button and find your desired Rally Sign (image file).
7. Under the "Submit profile" section, click the "OK" button and you're done. Just view your profile and make sure it is the way you like it.
Now your Profile will help promote Fair Tax via an Online Rally 24x7, even when you're busy.
